Alan Ross

Alan Ross (b. 1948) has spent 50+ years proving his mother wrong. “You’ll never support a family as a photographer,” she scolded upon learning he had decided to devote his life to the camera. A little bit of luck, a little bit of chutzpah and a little talent took him from the halls of UC Berkeley to the side of Ansel Adams. She never scolded him about being a photographer again.
