Geir Jordahl (b.1957) explores his relationship to space and experience by interacting with its periphery. He uses cameras, lenses and film that capture the boundaries of seeing and making images that extend human perception to realms beyond conscious awareness. His engaging compositions speak both to the specifics of place and to the imagination. The journey is an integral part of his work both figuratively and literally. Geir is Norwegian born and feels that travel as pilgrimage is an essential aspect of his vision and creation. Geir was Founder & Director of PhotoCentral in Hayward, CA from 1983 to 2020. He currently operates True North Editions with his wife Kate in Bellingham, Washington.
