Judy Dater

Judy Dater (b.1941) is a California native who grew up under the “Hollywood” sign. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 1966 with an MA in Fine Arts.  Her work is represented in hundreds of museums worldwide. She is the author of four monographs, a biography of Imogen Cunningham and a book in collaboration with Carolyn Coman on the lives of 10 diverse women. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and two national Endowment for the Arts Grants.
